A Viking Holmganga - A kind of trial by combat

The Jomsviking System focuses on a balance of strength, speed and skill, allowing the warrior to be deadly and look good whilst slaying his foes.

This Jomsviking System has been taught, adopted and imitated across the planet; UK, Denmark, Poland, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, France, Greece, Holland, Norway, Iceland, Canada, USA - all these and many more countries have benefited from over 20 years of experience of this dynamic western martial art.

The Army of Jomsborg is the largest and best trained Viking army in the world, with well over 250 warriors all trained in the Jomsviking System. The Jomsviking System was developed by Mike Heywood and Phil Burthem, and is the internationally accepted (steel based) fighting standard within Europe and in many countries without. Many groups and societies have borrowed or base their own fighting methods on ours, but none have surpassed the original.

The Jomsborgelag - Sudhird expects all their warriors to attain a high standard of skill in the Jomsviking System. Regular training is the only way to achieve this.

Once you have mastered the Jomsviking System, you will then progress on to MSI33 - Sword and Buckler, The Johannes Liechtenauer school of German Longsword and Facets of George Silver - English short sword.
